I’m a chemical engineer. I did all my studies at the Ecole polytechnique de Bruxelles and graduated in 2015 in Engineering in Chemistry and Materials Science. I have been awarded the Mehdi Ghodsi Prize 2016 for the best Master Thesis in the field of environment (Development of Vanadium-based micellar catalysts for lignin valorization). I am currently a Ph.D. student at the EMNS lab and have been granted a FRIA grant for my research project.


Research interests

My research project is dedicated to the physicochemical characterization of chloride transport across lipid membranes by synthetic molecular carriers. The aim of this project is to gain a deeper understanding of the factors that can affect the transport properties of synthetic transmembrane carriers, which are seen as a potential strategy for the treatment of certain diseases linked to deficiencies at the level of ionic regulation across cell membranes, the most well-known being cystic fibrosis.

Teaching activities

I am assistant (handling labs and exercises) for the course of organic chemistry (CHIM H406 – Organic Chemistry: Reactions and Mechanisms) taught to MA1 students in the Chemistry and Materials Science Bruface program.

Involved in the supervision of multifunctional projects (MA1 students) and partly supervised the master thesis project of W. Denis (graduated in 2016).

Took part to some (teaching) activities organised by the faculty : exercises for the course of « Connaissances fondamentales » taught to BA1 students, and assistant during the « Ateliers Jeunes Ingénieurs » dedicated to highschool students during the « Printemps des Sciences ».
